Last
week, Mireya taught her 11th graders about giving advice in English
(using should, must, etc.). To practice,
she had her students write down a problem they have and give it to a friend for
their advice. Some of the problems are
exactly what you’d expect from a high schooler.
Others just have some very interesting English. Some, however, are probably unique to high
schoolers in Mozambique or countries like it.
“I

They are naughty my famelly tells me to get away from them… but I can
not they call me to come… And I guess I’m not as sympathetic to ignore them… My
